ECHOS  3 Remote Control Unit


Echos 3 is a simple and effective remote control unit, which allows connectivity of ELENOS transmitters and environmental sensors, for remote monitoring and control by the operator.


Echos 3 Telemetry by Elenos is a remote command system and a remote control system that allows you to monitor up to 8 analog and 8 digital signals with the use relay contacts.


The inputs and outputs are easily programmable, by setting the means and the desired management protocols via a PC connection. Echos 3 is useful for accessing the main operating parameters of the transmitter as well as other parameters which can be monitored using relays.


It is possible to monitor and analyze the details of voltage, current, temperature, power, efficiency, and to send commands and change the status of operation via Hyperterminal.



It is also possible to analyze the status of analog and digital inputs, from the transmitters or from other sensors present at the station site.


Echos 3 can send and receive SMS, through which it is possible to analyze the main operating data of the transmitters and to provide remote control. In the default power failure mode, Echos 3 is able to send an SMS alert.

EBOX Remote Control Unit


Ebox is a remote control unit equipped with an HTTP web interface and SNMP protocol. It is configured to be used with all Elenos transmitters, exciters, amplifiers, and protection systems and exchange units. It is also able to provide information on a large number of parameters related to the operation of the equipment, and allows for remote control and management. The user can interface any device with an E.box from a PC, Tablet or Smartphone device.


Elenos has equipped all of its FM transmitters with the possibility to be fully managed and

controlled remotely by the use of this Ethernet interface device ( “E. Box”), through which the operator can perform almost all of the operations that would be done in local mode at the site of the equipment. The connections are based either on SNMP browser or through a website. All the E. Box devices allow for remote firmware upgrades and can be interchanged between any of various types of equipment in the Elenos product lines. It is compatible with all current production equipment and may also be retrofitted to other Elenos equipment no longer in production. An IP connection is required to be able to use the E.box device and can be used over both wired or wireless networks in private or public networks.

ECOS SYSTEMS N+1


ECOS (Elenos Change Over System) is a line of Elenos products that includes different versions of N +1 exchange systems for FM transmitters, in response to the needs of both private radios and international broadcasting companies. Through the ECOS systems, there is a possibility to ensure more transmissions simultaneously and the continuous operation in a single location, with uniform configuration and reduced weight/dimensions. It provides the optimal solution for remote, unattended locations, in critical environmental

and climatic conditions: the right choice for those that cannot or will not provide immediate maintenance. If you have an Elenos system, you do not need a N +1 custom system!


The purpose of the ECOS line systems is to enable the operation of a certain number of transmitters - up to a maximum number of 6-with a further transmitter, available as a substitute. ECHOS6 is the control unit of the system. It does the analysis of the status of different transmitters, of the related antenna relays and of the arrays of audio exchange/MPX.

This device is activated when one of the transmitters is in fault and manages the process of switching the RF signal, the audio signal and the MPX signal, in order to activate the substitutive transmitter to replace the one out of service.

ECHOS6 provides MPX auxiliary channels, sufficient when the system transmitters are powered exclusively by MPX signal. If even one transmitter of the system requires audio signal (Left and Right) or RDS, the device is completed with AUDIO/MPX MATRIX.

The AUDIO MATRIX module is entrusted with the switching of the audio signal, which takes place

by means of an array of electromechanical relays.

It is also available in the MPX MATRIX version, which varies based on the different types of connectors (BNC instead of XLR). There is also an antenna relay system that interfaces through standard connectors to the ECHOS6 unit.

The N +1 systems can be installed without opening the rack, as they are supplied fully wired inside, with the I/O connectors positioned on the outer panel. They are equipped with fans in order to bring together the exhaust air out of the rack.

The system is “closed” as far as the interference and location issues are concerned, with ad hoc expedients for the best functionality and reliability during the operation. Thanks to the remote control, it is possible to receive data and to send orders to the transmitters and to the exchange unit throughout all the modern

communication channels: SMS, GPRS, WEB, SNMP.

ECOS 6 is the optimal solution for remote, unattended transmitter sites, in critical environmental and climatic conditions: the right choice where immediate service or maintenance can not be easily implemented.

YOU DO NOT NEED A N +1 CUSTOM DESIGN SYSTEM


The purpose of the ECOS product line is to enable the operation of a multiple transmitters for achieving redundancy – up to a maximum number of 6-with an additional “reserve” transmitter, available as a back-up substitute.


ECHOS6 is the control unit of the system.


It does the real-time analysis of the status of the transmitters, antenna system performance and of the array of audio inputs into the transmitters. The ECOS6 provides transmitter RF or/or audio switching when any of the transmitters is in a fault conditions in order to activate a reserve transmitter to replace the unit out in a fault condition. ECHOS 6 provides audio backup for MPX, (or optional AES-EBU or XLR L/R) and auxiliary channels.


The ECOS6 AUDIO MATRIX module provides the switching of the audio signals, through an array of electromechanical relays.



There is also an antenna relay system that interfaces through standard connectors to the ECHOS 6 unit.

It is also equipped with fans in order to provide air flow out of the rack.


With Elenos Remote control systems it is possible to receive system performance data on the N+1 system and any of the individual Transmitters and to also provide remote control and configuration to the system through: SMS, GPRS, WEB, SNMP
